Chicken Invaders 1.30

Different people like to do different things to unwind and relax. Some like to take their girlfriend out for dinner and a movie. Some like to take the dog out for a walk in the park. Some like to watch a good movie with a big bucket of popcorn in their lap.

Other people like to put their computers to good use and play a fun computer game. If you fall in this category, then you need to take a look at Chicken Invaders, a fun shoot’em up game that will keep your entertained for some time. I have to say that Chicken Invaders is one of my all-time favorite games.

One thing has to be said right away – there are, at the time of writing this, 7 different versions of the game. Mainly:
Chicken Invaders – the original game.
Chicken Invaders 2: The Next Wave and Chicken Invaders: The Next Wave Christmas Edition.
Christmas Invaders 3: Revenge of the Yolk and the accompanying Christmas Edition and an Easter Edition.
Christmas Invaders 4: Ultimate Omelette

We will focus on the original Chicken Invaders game, the first in this series of arcade-like games that parody Space Invaders.

In the game you have to fight multiple waves of chickens and from time to time fight a boss. You can play by yourself or you can play with a friend. To be efficient and dispose of all the chickens, you have to collect weapon power-ups (there are 8 power levels) and collect missiles (the missiles are incredibly powerful and dispose of all the chickens on the screen). Watch out for the eggs that drop from above; collect the fried chicken to better your score. And speaking of the score, you can compare your score with the score of other players from all over the world.

Download – the download weighs in at 3.1MB, which means the download will complete in no time at all.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, Chicken Invaders provides support for 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
Limitations – there are none since the game is offered free of charge.

• Only 10 waves of enemies; the other versions have more than 100 waves.

• You can move the ship left to right only, not up and down in this version
• This version does not let you control the ship with the mouse
• Lack of settings to customize the gameplay
